Year One had a fantastic time today learning new Computing skills with Mr Hartley!
Our work was closely linked with thematic learning for ‘Zero to Hero’ as we created fact files for both Michael Jordan and Thomas Edison.
We began by using an app to improve our keyboard skills and then used the search tool ‘Swiggle’ to find out all about both of the heroes.
We learned how to choose pictures, insert speech bubbles, select text and fonts, change colours and sizes and save our work – we used ‘Balloon Stickies’ and ‘PicCollage’ to do this.
We used an app called ‘Book Creator’ make our own ebook. We also used ‘Draw and Tell’ to add recorded speech to match pictures we had created.
What an exciting day full of new learning!
