Year 3 Greek Day!

Writer's picture: Edward the ElderEdward the Elder

Year 3 took part in a Greek workshop run by Steve from Humph's Histories. What a fabulous day! The children started by creating a human historic timeline and exploring the story of the Trojan Horse. Then, they were given the chance to solve an Ancient Greek puzzle and create shields. In the afternoon, Steve arrived as an Ancient Greek man and explored 'Greek legacies' with the children. From democracy to daily food, and the Olympics to crushing grapes - the children did it all! The day ended by the children learning about armour and shield tactics to defend themselves. Thank you Steve, what an amazing day!
