March 2020

All of Team Edwards wore their pyjamas and were excited for the children to see the den they had created!

Children also came to school in their pj's and were able to spend time listening to and reading stories in the den - it felt like a giant sleepover!

Throughout the day children enjoyed sharing a book with their friends.

A special World Book Day Menu too!

We have received an assembly from the NSPCC, as well as additional workshops for Years 5 and 6, teaching children to 'Speak out. Stay safe'. Children were given the phone number 0800 1111 and reminded to call this number should they have any worries or concerns. Parents also took part in a workshop about Online Safety. Thank you to parents who were able to attend, as well as the NSPCC for their support.

January 2020

Year 6 enjoyed a morning with Squirrel Learning where they were taught the skills required to effectively use Minecraft Education. They learnt controls and features of the programme in order to design and make a rollercoaster. We can't wait to see what they design and produce!

Reception have enjoyed celebrating Chinese New Year this week!

We have learned all about living in China by:

• Eating noodles with chopsticks and Chinese ‘Show and Tell’.
• Learning Chinese greetings and making lucky red envelopes.
• Designing Chinese lanterns on Purple Mash and making our own paper lanterns.

We ended our week with an amazing Chinese New Year Dragon Dance celebration!
Fantastic!
