Edward The Elder braved the snow and cold to attend our annual Christmas Fayre organised by Eddie's friends. Our special guest, Father Christmas, is used to these weather conditions and met our children on his spectacular sleigh. Our school choir opened our fayre with some Christmas carols which certainly put everyone in the festive spirit. The stalls were a great success with our children and their parents.
We would like to say a huge thank you to Eddie's friends for organising the event, along with Wednesfield Rotary club and the local police for giving us their time to make our Christmas Fayre a great success !
Edward the Elder choir performed at St. Thomas' Church, Wednesfield as part of the annual Christmas light event. The choir sang 'It Was On A Starry Night' in two part harmonies and used sign language to present the song. What an amazing performance it was!
Also we would like to say a big thank you to our choir parents who supported us with this event and we certainly heard your cheers from the balconies.
A group of year 5 and 6 children were chosen to plant crocus bulbs alongside members of Wednesfield Rotary Club at Sainburys' to highlight and raise awareness of Polio Research. Both children and adults had a great time preparing the ground, planting the bulbs and working as a team to give something back to the community. This was followed by a well-deserved lunch at Sainburys!
As a Trust, we are dedicated to working together and promoting all of our achievements. This year Palmers Cross, Edward the Elder and Elston Hall Primary School joined together to take part in Wolverhampton City's Diversity event. Boys, girls and staff from all three schools spent the weeks leading up to the event, working hard to create a stunning dance which they performed on stage at the Civic Theatre, along-side many other schools from across the city. This was the 30th year this event has been part of Wolverhampton's city calendar, it challenges schools to use the creative arts to celebrate the strength of diversity in our city.
We are so proud of their fantastic performance!
